The Cool - Lupe Fiasco

Lupe Fiasco - The Cool Words come and go. Words that define a moment in time, then magically disappear. Some reappear, some don't. These words usually have dual meaning. The conventional, original meaning; then the new hipster meaning which probably spawned from the original in some way, but, got twisted along by it's generation that used it. "Radical", "Groovy", "Square", etc. One word has stuck from early jazz generations, hippies and present day everyones..."COOL". It has that descriptive sense that could mean many different things depending on the context it's used in, and in Lupe Fiasco's case, it's a great adjective.

Audio Two - What More Can I Say (throwback) "Stop schemin', and lookin' hard"...Maybe the illest line ever spoken by an MC on the microphone. It described the times of it's release, the early 90's. 1990 to be exact. A time when gangsta's were ruling the west coast, mobsters were taking over NY and true B-Boys were left wondering exactly what has happened. Mc Milk (who just so happens to be MC Lyte's cousin) and DJ Gizmo made up the crew known for one of the most influential B-Boy anthems ever, "Top Billin'"!
