A while ago, Facebook had this "25 Random Things" craze that everyone was doing. So.....I thought I'd bring it here. Here are 25 Random Things about me. =)

Do the same and comment me that you did one so I can learn about you a little more! (you don't have to be as detailed as I, I just got bored so I went all out...lol)

MY TWENTY-FIVE RANDOMS:

01. My real name is Van Nguyen, but everyone either calls me Vana, Vany, or Vee. There's only one person that still calls me Van, which is my Dad. lol

02. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan though. Been living here in Michigan all my life. I am so ready to move out of state.

03. I was born on January 7th, 1985..making me 24 years old. Time goes by so fast once you're past age 21. Kids...really cherish your teen years. Next thing you know, you're working 60 hours a week, paying bills, and cooking your own food. LOL

04. Speaking of work...I am a nail techinician. Yup, I work at one of those nail salons where there's pretty much just Asian people working there. Doing nails isn't my passion, but it's great for now. I meet new people all the time, and I can express my artistic side by doing nail art. The job is great, but I don't want to do it for the rest of my life.

05. My passion in life is making art...with computer graphics and cosmetics. I would love to become a makeup artist, and a graphic designer.I plan on doing so too.

06. I didn't finish high school because I was lazy; I skipped school alot. I want to go to college to study art and computers, so I plan on getting my GED. When I look back, I regret all the times I skipped school...totally wasn't worth it.

07. I love to sing. My friend is a popular trance/techno/house DJ in Michigan and local states. One of his hit songs is a song that I'm featured on. =) We recorded it when I was about 18 years old. Being in the studio was an amazing feeling. Singing is also a passion of mine, but I don't see myself doing it as a career. But its still fun to do. I'm possibly singing another song for him.

08. I have a brother who's four years older, and a half-sister (she's half white and half Vietnamese) who's ten years older than me. We all get along very very well. =)

09. I love playing video games. I like to play music video games and action-adventure. My favorites: Rockband 2, Guitar Hero 3, Zelda and the Twilight Princess, Zelda and the Minish Cap, and Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass.

10. Like almost every girl, I love to shop. My favorite stores: Urban Outfitters and Sephora. Other stores I enjoy: ALDO shoes, Hollister, Forever 21, Express, Juicy Couture, American Apparel, etc

11. I really do love makeup. I like applying more than anything. I enjoy putting makeup on other people, making them feel better about themselves. =) My favorite brands: Shu Uemura, MAC, Nars, Sephora, Urban Decay, and NYX.

12. Things I enjoy doing during my freetime: cooking, baking, hanging out with the bf, hanging out with family and friends, video games, bowling, shooting pool, shopping, youtube-ing, movies, watching my shows, books, dining out, and sleeping. =P

13. I'm allergic to melons...watermelons, honeydew, cantalope. Oh yeah..also allergic to soy. I had a soy latte from Starbucks one time, and my face swelled up like crazy! I had to go to work like that. LOL

14. Growing up was hard for me, but it made me a pretty strong person today. I took care of myself a lot...had to figure out how to be a girl myself because I lost my mother from cancer when I was five years old. RIP. My dad treated me somewhat like a boy. Lol. "Van, go mow the lawn!"

15. I am 100% Vietnamese. People always think I'm Flipino. lol. I'm not fluent in my language, but I can pretty much understand it. It's a shame, really, that I can't really speak my own language. I can sing karaoke though! lol

16. The "fleur de lis" is my favorite symbol/shape. Google it if you don't know what it is. =P

17. Including my own language, I wanna learn to speak French, Japanese, and Korean. ^_^

18. I love to travel. I haven't done out of the country yet, besides Canada. My favorite place so far is Marina del Rey/Venice, California. Love that place. =) Really, I just love Cali.

19. I know I do nails, but I am obsessed with nail polish. I wear a different color everyday. Seriously.

20. I like hanging out with people that have a sense of humor. People who aren't full of drama and negativity. I like being around people who makes me and everyone else feel bright. People who just make you feel good. It's not healthy being around people who look at everything as a glass being half empty.

21. I'm not good at sports. Never was. Only "sports" I play are bowling and billiards (shooting pool). I was in cheerleading though...in the fifth grade. lol. If I could go back in time, I would have continued cheerleading and joined the swim team. Love swimming. And if money wasn't an issue, I would have loved to be in gymnastics.

22. I love Nokia phones. I don't care what anyone says. I have a Nokia N79. I love love LOVE it. =) I alway loved their designs for phones. My first love was the Nokia 7610. Now, everyone I know either has an iPhone or a Blackberry. Both are great phones, but I'm very loyal to the Nokia company. I had a Bberry phone before, which I now use as my back-up.

23. I'm a Mac. ^_^ I have a PC, but I don't use it anymore. Love my MacBook.

24. I play rockband alot...kinda-ish. lol. Because of that game, my love for rock music has grown. Okay...I play alot. I don't know if me playing so much effective this, but I got the ring of death on my bf's xbox360. Haha. Again, google that if you don't know what that is. So I bought the xbox360elite the other day. I'm such a dork, because it feels nice to play my rockband2 again. LOL. I'm play at the Hard level, except on the impossible songs. I can play quite a few songs on Expert...fav songs..."PDA", "Lazy Eye". =P

25. I have burn scars up and down my right arm, a little under my chin, and chest. I don't remember anything, but my cousin told me what happened. I was around 3 yrs. old. My mother just got down frying fish, and set the oil aside. Somehow, I broke through the gate, pushed a chair to the stove, and reached for the handle. I can't imagine how that felt...having burning oil poured on my skin. Hella ouch!
