This is my bio...written by me, Skrapz. I am an MC. I am a father. I am a husband. I am a friend. I am an artist. I am an addict. I am an outgoing white kid from the East side of Metro Detroit that has grown up with Hip Hop since 1978. I am the tales and frustrations of my generation. I am Skrapz.

I'm really no big deal. I've been spittin' on the mic since 1994 when I was able to make a lifelong dream come true in my friend "The R.O.C.'s" basement on the South East side of Detroit. I had know idea that those "terrible" studio sessions would take me to where I am now. I hate doing music for anyone other than myself, and yet, I love it when people dig it. You see, I make music that I want to make. I have no restraint and noone to answer to. I do not have to please people. I have to please myself. Which is very...very hard! Maybe it's because I'm a "Gemini" and want the best of both worlds? (i.e. 'true school hip-hop & a lil somethin' for the ladies to dance to mixed w/some depressive kill yourself and progressive shit. LOL') But, really, I just do me...Skrapz. My style is a direct reflection of my everyday life.

I've done a lot of music in the past. I'm sure that most of you reading this are already up on it, and, if not, it just takes a little 'googling'. I released my first solo l.p. ' The 12 Step Program' in late 2005 and have not released shit since. I've heard it all including recent comments which refer to the work as 'classic' and 'monumental' and I love hearing that kinda shit. That's the formula right there....in all it's glory

1. Make music for me
2. Formally release it
3. People actually purchase it
4. People actually ENJOY it
5. People want more new material
6. I actually WANT to do another album
7. Repeat steps 1-6

I've done guest vocals on numerous projects in the last 2 1/2 years as well as many tracks for my upcoming release entitled "currently entitled".

I've heard it all in reference to the 'The 12 Step Program' including "damn, you chnaged my life" and "wow Skrapz, that's a classic" all the way too "hey fuckface! you ever gonna drop some new shit!". Well guess what 'fuckface'...YEAH! I am! Guess what else? Classics aren't made overnight. At least not in my case. I'm busy. Writin', workin', drinkin' and keepin' my head clear enough to not write some shit I'll regret. Until then, stay up on my shit. Holla at me whenever you want. I love you guys.
